Erie Path was created to address the increasing
mental and behavioral health challenges facing
children and adolescents throughout the
country. In Erie County, we have a robust network
of services and programs to assist young
people and their families. Erie Path is a tool for
helping parents and caregivers find the services
that can help address the many challenges that
their children and adolescents are experiencing.
In addition to the programs and services,
Erie Path also provides information for parents
and caregivers to help them understand what
their children and adolescents may be dealing
with and provides practical strategies for helping
the children and adolescents in their care.
There are also many resources included that
can help parents with their own mental and behavioral
health challenges.
Erie Path should be used by anyone who is
concerned about the mental health of a child
or adolescent. This app can guide you to programs
and services as well as many informational
resources that can help you better understand
what your child is going through and
where you can find services to help them. This
resource can be used by parents and caregivers,
aunts, uncles, grandparents, school personnel,
community-based organizations, or
anyone that is concerned about how a child or
young person is feeling or behaving.
The Erie Path directory of services and information
has been collected from many sources including
provider websites, 211 of WNY, Arounja,
New York State, and federal agencies. Erie
Path includes information about many valuable
services and programs including crisis services,
clinical services, case management, support
groups, community services, and governmental
resources.
We want to know what is working for users, what
is not working, and how we can improve. We want
to understand how the app is working for you, if
the functionality is meeting your expectations and
ideas you may have for the evolution of the app.
We also want to know if there are resources that
should be added, if a resource is no longer available
and should be removed, and if you have a
need but are not able to find a particular resource
to meet that need. Please direct any potential
problems with resources, services, or app functionality
to us via Menu > Feedback. If you would
like a response to your feedback or questions,
please include your name and contact information.
We want this app to meet the needs of Erie
County children and families and your feedback
and input is invaluable in this process.
We will be posting more information on this at
a later date. In the meantime, please send us
a message via our Feedback page, which you
can find listed under the Menu. For more information
about submitting feedback, please
see the response to question #3.
